I have painted this dresser inside & out in beautiful and warm pink colour blend, using high quality chalk paints. On the inside I wanted to give quite dramatic statement with vibrant blue colour which very much compliments pink. I used 5 different colours of pinks and plum colours to achieve this naturally aged look. Dresser was finished with clear wax for protection and black wax was used to give this dresser beautiful patina and shading. This Victorian dresser had full revamp and a modern twist as we often add to our furniture. This dresser top was totally replaced by our reclaimed pine which been done in Yakisugi technique. Traditional Japanese technique to preserve the wood. Charing the wood which prolongs the life of wood, seals the pours of the wood, makes it water resistant and most importantly enhances the wood grain. Its so smooth to touch and the texture is simply irresistible. We using this technique on quite a few of our projects and I must admit - it never fails to impress!

This dresser in rustic and primitive style. When it arrived to our workshop it had to have quite a few repairs like brand new back installed from reclaimed wood, brand new shelf was built in the bottom half. It did show previous woodworm presents, which no longer active. Dresser was stripped back to the bare wood, was treated with woodworm treatment just to make sure. After all revamp dresser is strong and solid and will last many more years to come.
